Program Specifications
Program #1: Sponsor a child
Bring hope and happiness to a child by becoming a sponsor. Your contribution of $20 a month provides a child with the following items:
· Staple food such as powdered milk, rice, sugar, etc.
· School supplies like books, notebooks, backpack, paper, etc.
· Assistance with educational fees
· Uniforms for school such as the customary white mandil (similar to a lab coat worn in all Bolivian schools), P.E. clothes, brand new shoes and clothes.
· Personal hygiene items like toothpaste, toothbrush, soap, shampoo, and detergent for washing clothes.
They will receive medical assistance and dental care. Some of these items are distributed monthly and some annually.
Become a sponsor and you will receive:
A picture of your sponsor child
Information about the child and his or her family
Letters from your sponsor child.
Pictures of your sponsor child receiving the above items
An annual receipt of your contribution for your tax deductions
Invitations to our events
Financial report upon request
Program #2: Food for Christmas
This program gives food on Christmas Day. Our representatives in different areas distribute a bag of staple food with bread, rice, sugar, pasta, cookies, etc.
Program #3: School supplies
In this program, HFC works directly with public schools where majority of the students are low-income families. We also work with small nonprofit organizations that are dedicated to helping children. The local representatives will facilitate the program by giving directly to the students in need.
Program #4: Vocational training for parents
Through this program, children’s parents are given language classes, vocational training, and family planning education so that they can better provide for and take care of their families and become self-sufficient.
Program #5: Medical needs and Hygienic supplies
This program will provide basic and emergency medical assistance for low income families. It will also provide the items needed for the families to maintain personal hygiene and preventive care. Medical assistance will be provided on a case by case basis. Resources will be sent directly to the local representative who will administrate the resources. Hygienic supplies will be distributed twice year and given directly to the families in need by the local representative.
Program #6: Extra curricular activities
In this program children will be exposed to sports, music and art. Programs will be offered at a facility that will donate its time and staff to run these programs. Resources will be used to provide items need and will be distributed by local the representative. Children who are involved in extra curricular activities do better academically academically and develop into well rounded adults.
